It is situated in the northeast, specifically in the Cinca Medio district of the Huesca province, and is bounded by the picturesque rivers Cinca and Sosa. The Board of the Brotherhood of Monzón aimed to create a logo that would not only embody the Passion of Our Lord but also promote the city’s beauty and cultural heritage. This board is responsible for coordinating and uniting seven distinct brotherhoods, including “La Oración de Jesús en el Huerto”, “Ecce Homo”, “Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno”, “La Sangre de Cristo y la Buena Muerte”, “Nuestra Señora de la Piedad”, “Santo Sepulcro” and “Nuestra Señora de los Dolores”.

Requirements.

The logo had to reflect the nature of the Coordinating Board, including one or several of the following aspects:

Passion, death, and resurrection of Christ.

Preserving and increasing the worship of processions.

Collaboration among the various brotherhoods.

Service and willingness towards the Church.

City of Monzón.

The winning logo is the creation of the designer based in Valencia, Luciano Petrosini, and combines everything required in the contest rules, as expressed by his creative argument:

An image of the logo.

Our solution was to design a simple logo that would speak to the community in a meaningful way. We incorporated the crown of thorns in the colours of Monzón, recalling the city’s rich history and tradition.

The typography.

Through the typography, we inserted subtle symbols of the Passion: the “J” resembling a nail, the “JC” as a reminder of Jesus Christ, and the “M” alluding to the Sorrowful Mother at the foot of the cross. Through the interplay of all these elements, the logo effectively conveys the mission of the fraternity and at the same time is versatile enough for various applications.

The Monzón Brotherhood Coordinating Board has renewed its logo, accompanying a renewal of identity and image.
[1,63

post-5683","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-all-posts","category-works
["GET
